Day 1 — Ancient Capitals, Caves, and Centuries of History

   Today is an extraordinary exploration of Georgia’s timeline, spanning thousands of years. From modern, grand monuments and sacred 6th-century monasteries to controversial 20th-century history and an ancient, pagan rock-hewn city, this day offers a deep and fascinating dive into the complex heritage of our country.

2. Chronicle of Georgia

   We begin our morning at the "Georgian Stonehenge"—the Chronicle of Georgia. Perched on a hill overlooking the Tbilisi Sea, this massive monument features 30-meter-tall bronze pillars that beautifully depict the history of Georgia, its royal kings, and its spiritual roots. The sheer scale of the columns makes for an unforgettable, cinematic start to the day.

3. Jvari Monastery

   Next, we drive up to Jvari Monastery, a breathtaking 6th-century hilltop church that stands proudly overlooking Mtskheta. Beyond its immense spiritual and historical value, it is world-famous for its view: from the cliff's edge, you will look down upon the magical confluence of two major rivers—the Aragvi and the Mtkvari—as they meet and flow together.

4. The Stalin Museum in Gori

   We then travel further west to the town of Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Here, we will visit the complex dedicated to his life, which includes the grand exhibition halls, the small wooden house where he was born, and his private, bulletproof armored train carriage. It is a unique and thought-provoking look into a complex chapter of global history.

   Take a relaxing break to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Gori. It's a wonderful opportunity to try traditional Shida Kartli dishes and hearty local comfort food before heading out to climb the ancient caves.

6. Uplistsikhe Cave Town

   Next, we step even further back into antiquity at Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town built into the rocky banks of the Mtkvari River. Dating back to the Early Iron Age, this massive complex of caves, tunnels, pagan temples, and secret passages was once a bustling center of trade and worship long before Christianity came to Georgia. Walking through it feels like exploring another planet.

7. Mtskheta – The Ancient Capital

   On our way back, we stop to explore the cobblestone streets of Mtskheta, the spiritual heart of Georgia. We will walk through the charming local market up to the majestic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with grand medieval architecture, sacred relics, and centuries of royal tombs.

8. End · Evening Return to the Hotel

   After a long, rich day of exploring ancient capitals and rock-hewn caves, we will head back to your hotel. Rest up and recharge, because tomorrow the open road calls us back into the dramatic peaks and adrenaline-pumping valleys of the Caucasus!

Day 2 — High Peaks and Adrenaline in the Caucasus

1. Start · Morning The Ultimate Mountain Adventure

   Get ready for a thrilling return to the Great Caucasus Mountains! Today, we head north once again along the spectacular military highway, but this time, we are blending iconic alpine views with high-octane adventure and action. It’s a day designed for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.

2. Zhinvali Reservoir and Ananuri Castle

   We begin our drive with a fresh look at the breathtaking, turquoise Zhinvali Reservoir and the historic stone watchtowers of Ananuri Castle. It's the perfect scenic morning start to stretch your legs, capture beautiful photos against the water, and prepare for the higher altitudes ahead.

3. The Confluence of Black and White Aragvi

   We will make a quick stop in Pasanauri to witness the fascinating natural phenomenon where the distinct dark and light currents of the Black and White Aragvi rivers meet and flow side by side.

4. Gudauri Friendship Monument

   As we ascend above 2,000 meters, we reach the colorful Gudauri Friendship Monument, standing dramatically on the edge of a steep cliff. The views into the plunging valleys below are immense and truly awe-inspiring.

   Time for some real adrenaline! In Gudauri, you can choose your own adventure. Take to the skies with a tandem paragliding flight for a breathtaking, bird's-eye view of the snow-capped Caucasus peaks, or rent an ATV/Buggy to roar through the rugged mountain trails and alpine meadows.

   After working up an appetite, we travel to the alpine town of Stepantsminda for a hearty lunch. Enjoy traditional mountain food like fresh Khinkali while sitting right beneath the shadows of giant mountain peaks.

7. Gergeti Trinity Church

   The grand finale of our mountain journey! We head up the winding mountain path to the iconic 14th-century Gergeti Trinity Church. Standing completely isolated at 2,170 meters against the dramatic, epic backdrop of Mount Kazbek, it is a sight that will stay with you forever.

8. End · Evening Return to Tbilisi

   With a camera full of epic shots and a heart pumping with adrenaline, we will begin our drive back down to Tbilisi. We will drop you off at your hotel for a well-deserved rest after an unforgettable journey to the peaks of Georgia!
