Itinerary

Kakheti Wine & Culture Day Trip

  1. Start · Early Morning Departure from Hotel

We begin our day in the early morning with a comfortable drive from your hotel towards the famous Kakheti wine region. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful views of rolling hills, vineyards, and traditional Georgian countryside. This is the heart of Georgia’s wine culture, where winemaking traditions are over 8,000 years old.

  2. Morning KTW Winery

Our first stop is one of Georgia’s well-known wineries, KTW Winery. Here you will explore modern wine production combined with ancient Georgian techniques. You will enjoy a guided wine tasting session, sampling different local wines including dry, semi-sweet, and traditional Qvevri wine. A perfect introduction to Kakheti’s rich wine heritage.

  3. Mid-day Bodbe Monastery

Next, we visit the beautiful Bodbe Monastery, one of the most important spiritual sites in Georgia. This peaceful place is surrounded by green gardens and overlooks the Alazani Valley. It is believed to be the burial place of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia. A quiet and deeply spiritual atmosphere makes this stop very special.

  4. Afternoon Sighnaghi

We continue to Sighnaghi, a charming hilltop town known as the “City of Love.” Its cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and panoramic views of the Caucasus Mountains make it one of the most romantic places in Georgia. You will have time to walk around the old city walls, enjoy the views, and explore small artisan shops.

  5. Optional · Lunchtime Lunch in Sighnaghi

You may enjoy a relaxing lunch in one of Sighnaghi’s cozy restaurants. Here you can taste local dishes such as Khinkali, Mtsvadi (Georgian BBQ), fresh salads, and homemade wine while enjoying beautiful valley views.

  6. End · Evening Return to Tbilisi

After a full day of wine, culture, and beautiful landscapes, we drive back to Tbilisi. You will be dropped off at your hotel in the evening, filled with unforgettable memories of Kakheti’s wine country.
