Messaging & templates
Use Messages for booking threads and direct chats with travelers. Manage reusable replies on Templates. Messaging is the preferred place to confirm meeting points, share pickup details, and answer pre-trip questions without leaving Travel Guide Georgia.
Inbox
- Threads can be linked to a booking or opened as a direct conversation with a peer.
- Start from a booking (
?start=) or a peer (?peer=) when the UI offers those deep links. - Open a thread to read history, see attachments, and reply in context.
Unread or active booking threads usually matter most on travel days—check Messages after you confirm a booking from the calendar or bookings list.
Compose
You can send:
- Text — primary reply type.
- Photos — meeting points, vehicle photos, maps screenshots.
- Files — PDFs or documents when the traveler needs written details.
- Voice notes — where the feature is enabled for your account.
Use the quick-reply picker to insert a saved template instead of retyping common answers (meeting time, packing list, cancellation summary).
Safety
- Block / unblock a peer if you need to stop further messages.
- Prefer keeping booking money, IDs, and meeting changes inside the platform thread so both sides have a record.
- Do not share passwords or one-time codes from other systems in chat.
Blocked peers cannot continue the conversation until you unblock them from the thread or account tools that expose that control.
Templates
On Templates:
- Add a short label (what you will recognize in the picker) and the full message text.
- Save — hosts can keep a small set, typically up to about five quick replies.
- Remove unused templates anytime so the picker stays focused.
Write templates in the languages you actually speak with guests. Keep them short enough to skim but specific enough that travelers do not need a follow-up for basics.
Reviews on the Templates page
The Templates page may also list reviews you gave and reviews on your profile. Use that view to spot feedback that needs a polite reply in Messages or a profile update on your guide page.
