Tour packages
Open Packages to list tours; New package creates a draft. Editing happens at /contribute/packages/{id}/edit — the sticky bar links Calendar, Bookings, Save / submit, Save draft, and Delete.
Below matches the contribute editor sections (same order as the in-page quick nav where applicable).
1. Tour type (tour_style)
Choose how you want to sell your tour. This choice changes how pricing and capacity fields work.
- Group tour — Guests book per person. You set a base price for one traveler. The total price is
base_price * number_of_people.- Group fleet: You can select vehicles from your Fleet that are used for this tour. This helps travelers see what kind of transport to expect.
- Private tour — Pricing is per group-size tier. You define fixed prices for different group ranges (e.g., 1-3 people, 4-6 people).
- Vehicle & Price rows: For each tier, you can add multiple transport options. For example, for a 1-3 person tier, you might offer a "Sedan" for 300 GEL and an "SUV" for 400 GEL. Guests will choose their preferred vehicle during booking.
2. Duration (duration_preset)
Select the overall length of the tour.
- Half day (~4 hours) or Full day (~8 hours).
- Multi-day (2 to 14 days). Important: The number of days you select here should match the number of days you create in the Itinerary editor.
3. TravelGuide AI (Draft generator)
This tool helps you quickly fill out the tour details.
- Paste your raw tour program (e.g., from a Word doc or email) into the text area.
- Click Generate tour draft.
- The AI will automatically translate and fill in the Title, Description, Long article, Includes/Excludes, and build the Itinerary structure in English, Georgian, and Russian. Note: AI can make mistakes. Always review the generated text and pricing before saving.
4. Tour details — Multilingual tabs
Fill in the content for each language (EN, KA, RU). Use the tabs to switch between languages.
| Field | Description & Tips |
|---|---|
| Title | The public name of your tour. Keep it catchy and descriptive (e.g., "Kazbegi Day Trip with Wine Tasting"). |
| Description | A short summary (2-3 sentences) shown on search results and cards. |
| Long article | The full story of your tour. Describe what makes it special. You can use Markdown for formatting. |
| Includes | List everything included in the price (e.g., "Professional guide", "Hotel pickup", "Lunch"). |
| Excludes | List what is NOT included (e.g., "Entrance fees to museums", "Personal expenses"). |
| Meeting point | Clear instructions on where to meet (e.g., "In front of the Radisson Blu hotel lobby"). |
| Cancellation policy | Your specific refund rules for this tour. If left empty, it uses your general guide-level policy. |
| SEO fields | Custom title and description for Google search results. If empty, they are auto-generated. |
Tour starts from: Use the pickers to select the administrative Region, Municipality, and Village where the tour begins. This helps with location-based searches.
5. Basic info
- URL slug: The unique part of the web address (e.g.,
kazbegi-wine-tour). It should be lowercase with hyphens. Changing this will break old links to your tour. - Status: Admins only. Partners see the current state (Draft, Pending Review, or Published).
- Min / Max people: For Group tours, set the minimum required to start and the maximum capacity.
- Base price: The default per-person price for Group tours in GEL.
- Media:
- Cover photo: The main image shown at the top of the tour page.
- Gallery: Additional photos showing the route, sights, and vehicles.
- Videos: Paste YouTube links to show video previews of the experience.
6. Itinerary editor
Build the day-by-day plan for your travelers.
- Add Day: Create a new day for multi-day tours.
- Add Segment: Inside each day, add stops.
- Start: Where the day begins (e.g., Pickup).
- Stop: A major sight or activity.
- Optional: A stop that can be added if time permits.
- End: Where the day finishes (e.g., Hotel drop-off).
- Details: Each stop needs a title and a description. You can also add a Timing note (e.g., "10:00 AM" or "Duration: 2 hours").
7. Transport & logistics
- Transport included: Check this if you provide the vehicle and driver.
- Pickup offered: Check this if you can pick up guests from their hotel or the airport.
- Pickup notes: Add specific details (e.g., "Pickup available from any hotel in Old Tbilisi").
8. Additional info
- Categories: Tag your tour (e.g., "Adventure", "Wine & Food", "History"). This is crucial for travelers using filters.
- Difficulty: Mark the physical effort required (Easy, Moderate, Challenging).
- Minimum age: Set an age limit if the tour is not suitable for young children.
9. Booking, extras & payments
- Calendar-only mode: By default, guests can book any date. If you enable this, they can only book dates that you have explicitly opened in the Package calendar.
- Extras: Sell add-ons like "Traditional Lunch", "Horseback Riding", or "Airport Transfer".
- Set a Price, and choose if it is per person or per booking.
- Payment methods: Choose which methods you accept (Cash, PayPal, Bank transfer, etc.).
- Extra discount %: You can offer a small discount (e.g., 5%) for your preferred payment method (like Cash) to encourage guests to use it.
10. Pricing rules
Automate discounts to attract more bookings:
- Group discount: Offer a lower price if a large group books together (e.g., 10% off for 5+ people).
- Early bird: Discount for booking far in advance (e.g., 15% off if booked 30 days before).
- Seasonal: Lower prices during the off-season or special promotions for specific dates.
11. Languages spoken
This section shows which languages you (the guide) speak. These are managed in your Guide profile and automatically applied to all your tours.
12. Publish workflow
- Save draft: Use this while you are still working on the tour. It is not visible to the public.
- Submit for review: When finished, click the primary Save button. Our moderators will check the content.
- Published: Once approved, your tour goes live and travelers can start booking!
