Tskhenistskali River

The Tskhenistskali River, whose name literally translates to 'Horse Water', is one of the most significant and powerful rivers in western Georgia. It is a major right tributary of the Rioni River. Originating from the glaciers of the Greater Caucasus in the Lower Svaneti region, it flows rapidly southwards through deep gorges and mountainous terrain before entering the Colchis Lowland.
