Latraldashi Peak

Latraldashi is a 3,370-metre peak in Upper Svaneti, Mestia Municipality, set on the main ridge above the Mulkhra valley. From the summit area you get open views toward Banguriani, Tetnuldi and the Svaneti Range, with alpine meadows, scree slopes and small snow patches that linger into summer.

The final section is steep on loose rock and requires sure footing. In July-August you will see alpine flowers, marmots and grazing herds. Snowfields can remain on the north side until mid-July.

How to Get There & Road Conditions

Drive from Mestia toward Mulakhi on a paved road that turns to graded gravel higher up. A 4x4 is recommended for the last few kilometres to trailheads near Zargashi and Lakhiri; a sedan can reach lower Mulakhi in dry weather. From the road end the route is hiking only, with 900-1,200 m of ascent depending on start point.

Best season is late June to mid-September. Start early to avoid afternoon clouds and storms. Bring layered clothing, sun protection, 2-3 litres of water, and trekking poles for the descent. Mobile signal is patchy on the ridge. Leave no trace and keep distance from livestock guardian dogs.
