Dighmistskali River
The Dighmistskali is a right tributary of the Mtkvari (Kura) River, located primarily within the municipality of Tbilisi. It originates on the eastern slopes of the Trialeti Range and flows through the Dighomi valley, a rapidly developing residential and commercial area of the capital. Historically, the river played a role in local agriculture, but today its lower reaches are heavily urbanized. The Dighmistskali valley is known for its relatively milder microclimate compared to other parts of Tbilisi. While the river itself is small and often shallow, its gorge offers some green spaces and walking paths for local residents, providing a brief escape from the urban environment.
