Bisna River
The Bisna River is a remote and wild waterway located in the historical highland region of Khevsureti, in northeastern Georgia. It flows through a rugged, high-altitude landscape characterized by steep, rocky slopes and alpine meadows. The river is a tributary of the Assa River, which eventually flows northwards into the North Caucasus. Fed primarily by melting glaciers and mountain snow, the Bisna features freezing, crystal-clear water that rushes through narrow, deep gorges. The area surrounding the river is largely untouched by modern infrastructure, offering a truly pristine wilderness experience. It is a destination suited for experienced trekkers and adventurers seeking to explore the isolated and dramatic beauty of the Greater Caucasus mountains, far from typical tourist trails.
