Day tour Kakheti wine region

Our first stop will be KTW Wine Cellar, where the journey truly begins with great energy and a warm welcome. This is the perfect place to start your Kakheti experience, as you immediately feel the spirit of Georgian hospitality and wine culture. Here you will enjoy a guided introduction to local winemaking traditions, followed by a wine and chacha tasting in a cozy cellar atmosphere.

In the village of Badiauri, you will take part in a traditional Georgian bread baking experience. Here, you will join a simple masterclass and see how local people make fresh bread in a clay oven (tone). You can help prepare the dough and watch the bread being baked in a traditional way. The warm village atmosphere, the smell of fresh bread, and the friendly locals make this stop a very special experience. At the end, you will taste the freshly baked bread straight from the oven.

This is where Saint Nino, the woman who brought Christianity to Georgia, is buried. Because of this, Bodbe is a very special and sacred place for Christians. The monastery is surrounded by beautiful nature and peaceful views, making it not only spiritually important but also one of the most beautiful locations in Kakheti. Here you can enjoy a calm atmosphere, learn a bit of Georgian history, and take in the amazing scenery.

Our next stop is Sighnaghi, one of the most beautiful small towns in Georgia, also known as the “City of Love. Here you will walk along the old city walls, where you can enjoy amazing panoramic views over the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains. The walls are one of the longest in Georgia and give Sighnaghi a unique historical charm. You will also stroll through narrow, cobblestone streets, full of colorful houses, balconies, and a cozy atmosphere. It is a perfect place to feel the real spirit of old Georgian towns, take beautiful photos, and enjoy a relaxed walk. Sighnaghi is a place where history, romance, and incredible views come together.

Our final stop is a traditional family winery Kakabeti Estate, located in the village of Kakabeti. Here you will see the real Georgian way of winemaking, including the ancient qvevri (clay vessel) fermentation process, which has been used for thousands of years. You will learn how wine is made in a traditional and natural way, right inside the cellar. The atmosphere is very warm and family-friendly, giving you a true feeling of Georgian hospitality. It is a peaceful and authentic place where wine, tradition, and family life come together. A perfect final stop to end the day with great wine, good energy, and unforgettable memories.
