4 Day Trip: Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Borjomi and return to Tbilisi

Our first stop is the impressive Chronicle of Georgia. Huge stone monuments tell the story of Georgian history and religion, while the panoramic views over Tbilisi make this place unforgettable.

We can also visit the beautiful Jvari Monastery, standing high above the meeting point of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. This peaceful ancient monastery is one of the most famous landmarks in Georgia.

As we continue north, we stop at the beautiful Jinvali Reservoir. The turquoise water surrounded by mountains creates one of the most picturesque views on the Georgian Military Highway.

Next, we visit the historic Ananuri Fortress, located beside the reservoir. This ancient castle complex offers beautiful towers, churches, and incredible lake views.

We can also stop at the famous Friendship Monument, one of the best panoramic viewpoints in the mountains, overlooking dramatic valleys and colorful landscapes.

By evening, we arrive in the beautiful mountain town of Kazbegi, surrounded by the massive peaks of the Caucasus Mountains.

Our first destination is the famous Gergeti Trinity Church, located high above Kazbegi at 2,170 meters. Surrounded by giant mountains and stunning views of Mount Kazbek, this iconic church is one of the most magical places in Georgia.

Next, we visit the beautiful Gveleti Waterfall. After a short and easy hike through nature, we reach the refreshing waterfall hidden between rocky cliffs and mountain landscapes.

Throughout the day, we enjoy exciting off-road driving through mountain valleys and small hiking trails surrounded by untouched nature.

One of the highlights of the tour is the incredible Juta Valley. After an off-road drive to the remote mountain village, we begin an easy and scenic hike toward the glacier and mountain lake. The hike takes around 1.5 hours one way and offers unforgettable views of dramatic peaks, rivers, and green valleys.

After a beautiful day in the mountains, we return to Kazbegi.

We stop in the city of Gori to visit the Stalin Museum, where you can learn more about Soviet history and see personal items, photographs, and Stalin’s famous train carriage.

Next, we explore the ancient cave town of Uplistsikhe. Carved into the rocks thousands of years ago, this fascinating place once served as an important cultural and trading center.

By evening, we arrive in the famous resort town of Borjomi, surrounded by forests and mountain landscapes.

Bakuriani is famous for its beautiful forests, mountain air, and relaxing atmosphere. In winter it becomes a ski paradise, while during other seasons it offers peaceful nature and mountain activities.

After four unforgettable days filled with mountains, history, nature, waterfalls, glaciers, and adventure, we return to Tbilisi with incredible memories from Georgia.
