5 Day trip: Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Kutaisi, Batumi

Our first stop is the impressive Chronicle of Georgia, located on a hill above the Tbilisi Sea. Huge stone pillars tell stories about Georgian kings, heroes, and important moments from the country’s history. The place feels peaceful and powerful, with amazing panoramic views over the lake and the city. It is one of the most unique places near Tbilisi and perfect for beautiful photos.

Next, we visit the famous Jvari Monastery, built in the 6th century above the old capital city of Mtskheta. This holy place is one of the most important religious landmarks in Georgia. From the monastery, you can enjoy breathtaking views where the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers meet between the green hills. The atmosphere here is calm, spiritual, and unforgettable.

Continuing toward the mountains, we stop at the beautiful Jinvali Reservoir. The bright turquoise water surrounded by forests and hills creates one of the most scenic views along the Georgian Military Highway. This peaceful location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the fresh mountain air.

Next, we explore the historic Ananuri Castle complex located beside the reservoir. This medieval fortress protected the road through the mountains for centuries. Ancient towers, stone churches, and panoramic views over the water make this one of the most beautiful historical places in Georgia.

Along the road, we stop to see the natural meeting point of the Black and White Aragvi rivers. The rivers keep different colors even after joining together, creating a very unusual and beautiful sight.

Before reaching Kazbegi, we stop at the colorful Gudauri Friendship Monument built on the edge of a mountain cliff. This famous viewpoint offers spectacular panoramic views over deep valleys and dramatic Caucasus landscapes.

After arriving in Kazbegi, we continue to the famous Gergeti Trinity Church, standing high on a mountain at 2,170 meters above sea level. Surrounded by giant mountain peaks, this church is one of the most iconic and beautiful places in Georgia.

We begin the morning with an easy walk to the beautiful Gveleti Waterfall. Hidden between rocky cliffs and green mountain landscapes, this peaceful waterfall is one of the natural gems of Kazbegi. The fresh air and sound of flowing water create a relaxing and refreshing atmosphere.

During the day, we enjoy easy hiking routes through beautiful valleys and mountain landscapes. The trails offer amazing panoramic views of the Caucasus Mountains and are perfect for enjoying nature at a comfortable pace.

Next, we visit the charming mountain village of Juta, one of the highest settlements in Georgia. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and green valleys, Juta feels quiet, natural, and untouched.

We continue with a scenic hike toward the glacier and mountain lake area near Juta. Along the way, breathtaking views of snowy peaks, rivers, and green valleys open in every direction.

Our first stop is the Stalin Museum in Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Inside the museum, you will see personal items, historical photographs, documents, and Stalin’s famous train carriage. This visit offers an interesting look into Soviet history and Georgia’s past.

Next, we explore the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe, carved directly into the rocks thousands of years ago. This fascinating place once stood on the Silk Road and was an important cultural center in ancient Georgia. Walking through tunnels, caves, ancient halls, and stone streets feels like traveling back in time.

After arriving in Kutaisi, if time allows, we visit the beautiful Bagrati Cathedral, one of the main historical landmarks of western Georgia. Located on a hill, the cathedral offers lovely views over the city.

Our day begins inside the magical Prometheus Cave, one of the most impressive caves in Georgia. Huge underground halls filled with colorful lights, stalactites, stalagmites, and underground rivers create an unforgettable atmosphere. Walking through this underground world feels like entering another planet.

Next, we visit the beautiful Kinchkha Waterfall hidden deep in the green mountains of western Georgia. This powerful waterfall surrounded by forests and rocky cliffs is one of the tallest and most impressive waterfalls in the country. Fresh mountain air and peaceful nature make this place truly special.

In the afternoon, we visit the stunning Martvili Canyon, famous for its emerald-green water and breathtaking scenery. Wooden pathways and bridges offer incredible views over waterfalls and rocky canyon walls. Visitors can also enjoy an optional boat ride through the peaceful canyon surrounded by beautiful nature.

We begin the day with a scenic drive into the green mountains of Adjara to visit the beautiful Makhuntseti Waterfall. Surrounded by forests and fresh mountain air, this peaceful place is one of the most popular natural attractions near Batumi. Nearby, you can also see the historic stone bridge from medieval times.

Next, we continue to the peaceful village of Tkhilnari located high in the hills above Batumi. The village offers amazing panoramic views over the mountains, green landscapes, and the Black Sea coastline. This is the perfect place to experience authentic village life and the warm hospitality of local people.

After returning to Batumi, we continue exploring the city’s famous landmarks along the seaside boulevard. We visit the moving Ali and Nino Monument, a beautiful symbol of eternal love. Nearby stands the modern Alphabet Tower dedicated to the unique Georgian alphabet and culture. We also explore the lively Port of Batumi filled with yachts, palm trees, modern buildings, and relaxing sea views.

To finish the journey, we take the Batumi cable car high above the city for breathtaking panoramic views over the Black Sea, mountains, harbor, and Batumi skyline. Watching the sunset from above the city is the perfect ending to this unforgettable adventure through Georgia.
