Itinerary
Day 1 — From Ancient Kingdoms to Cave Cities
-
Chronicle of Georgia
Our first destination is one of the most impressive and underrated monuments in the country — the magnificent Chronicle of Georgia. Rising high above the Tbilisi Sea, these gigantic stone pillars often remind visitors of an ancient forgotten empire. Massive carvings tell the story of Georgian kings, queens, saints, and biblical scenes, creating an atmosphere that feels both mysterious and powerful. From here, you will enjoy sweeping panoramic views over the shimmering lake and the outskirts of Tbilisi. The silence, the scale of the monument, and the dramatic architecture make this place unforgettable and incredibly photogenic.
-
Jvari Monastery
Next, we continue to the legendary Jvari Monastery, standing proudly on top of a mountain where two rivers meet. This 6th-century monastery is one of the spiritual symbols of Georgia and offers one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the country. From the edge of the hill, you will see the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers flowing together beneath the ancient town of Mtskheta — the old capital of Georgia. Surrounded by endless hills and fresh mountain air, this peaceful place carries a deep spiritual energy that has inspired travelers for centuries.
-
Stalin Museum in Gori
Our journey then takes us to the city of Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Here we visit the famous Stalin Museum, where history comes alive through preserved artifacts, photographs, personal belongings, and even Stalin’s private railway carriage. This stop offers a fascinating glimpse into one of the most controversial figures of the 20th century and gives visitors a deeper understanding of Georgia’s Soviet past. Walking through the museum feels like entering another era frozen in time.
-
Traditional Lunch in Gori
Before continuing our adventure, we can stop for a relaxing traditional Georgian lunch in Gori. This is the perfect opportunity to taste authentic local dishes, freshly baked bread, flavorful grilled meat, homemade salads, and regional wines while enjoying warm Georgian hospitality in a cozy atmosphere.
-
Uplistsikhe Cave Town
In the afternoon, we explore one of Georgia’s most extraordinary historical treasures — the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe. Carved directly into massive rock formations more than 3,000 years ago, this fascinating settlement once stood on the legendary Silk Road. As we walk through tunnels, ancient halls, pagan temples, wine cellars, and hidden passageways, you will discover how people lived here long before the modern world existed. The views over the surrounding valleys and the feeling of wandering through a city carved into stone create a truly magical experience.
-
Journey to Kutaisi
As the sun begins to set, we continue our scenic drive west toward Kutaisi, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe. Along the road, landscapes slowly transform from dry eastern valleys into greener western forests. After arriving in Kutaisi, it is time to relax and enjoy a peaceful evening before tomorrow’s adventure through caves, waterfalls, canyons, and the lush beauty of western Georgia. Overnight in Kutaisi.
Day 2 — Caves, Waterfalls, and Emerald Canyons
-
Prometheus Cave
Our adventure begins inside the spectacular Prometheus Cave, one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Georgia. As we descend underground, a magical world of colorful illuminated stalactites and stalagmites opens before us. The cave stretches through enormous halls filled with underground rivers, echoing chambers, and incredible natural formations shaped over millions of years. Walking through this hidden underground kingdom feels almost unreal — cool air, glowing lights, and mysterious silence surround you at every step.
-
Kinchkha Waterfall
Next, we travel deeper into the green mountains to discover the stunning Kinchkha Waterfall. Hidden among forests and rocky cliffs, this waterfall is one of the tallest and most impressive in Georgia. Fresh mountain air, the sound of rushing water, and the untouched beauty of the surrounding nature create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The turquoise pools and dramatic cascades make this place feel like a secret paradise hidden far away from busy city life.
-
Lunch in Martvili
Before continuing to the canyon, we can stop in the charming Martvili area for an optional lunch surrounded by beautiful nature. Here you can enjoy delicious homemade Georgian dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients while relaxing beside rivers and greenery.
-
Martvili Canyon
In the afternoon, we arrive at the enchanting Martvili Canyon — one of the most picturesque natural attractions in Georgia. Emerald-green water flows peacefully between high moss-covered cliffs, creating scenery that looks straight out of a fantasy movie. We will walk along panoramic paths and wooden bridges above the canyon while enjoying incredible views of waterfalls, rock formations, and crystal-clear water below. Visitors also have the opportunity to take a peaceful boat ride through the canyon, floating silently between towering stone walls and lush vegetation.
-
Arrival in Batumi
As evening approaches, we continue our drive toward the Black Sea coast and arrive in the lively seaside city of Batumi. Palm trees, modern skyscrapers, sea breeze, and colorful lights welcome us to Georgia’s most vibrant coastal destination. After checking into the hotel, you will have time to relax, walk along the boulevard, or simply enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the sea. Overnight in Batumi.
Day 3 — Discover the Beauty of Batumi and Adjara
-
Makhuntseti Waterfall
We begin the morning with a scenic drive into the green mountains of Adjara to visit the breathtaking Makhuntseti Waterfall. Surrounded by dense forests and fresh mountain air, this powerful cascade falls dramatically from the cliffs into crystal-clear waters below. Batumi City Tour
After returning to Batumi, we continue exploring the city’s most iconic landmarks along the beautiful seaside boulevard. We visit the famous Ali and Nino moving statue, a powerful symbol of eternal love and unity. The moving sculptures slowly approach each other and pass through one another, creating a mesmerizing and emotional performance beside the sea.
