The village of Ezati is situated in the Shida Kartli region, within the Kaspi Municipality of Georgia. It lies in the scenic gorge of the Kavtura River, a right tributary of the Mtkvari (Kura) River. Nestled at an elevation of 755 meters above sea level, the village is located 10 kilometers from the town of Kaspi and just 6 kilometers from the nearest railway station in Kavtiskhevi. The surrounding landscape features the typical moderate continental climate of Shida Kartli, providing fertile grounds for agriculture. Historical Overview

Ezati boasts a rich history that dates back centuries. The village is first mentioned in historical records in the 14th century. In 1398, King Alexander of Georgia renewed the donation of Ezati's lands to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, highlighting its significance during the medieval period. Later, in the 17th century, the prominent Georgian military commander Giorgi Saakadze granted estates in Ezati to the Chivadze family, who had migrated from the Imereti region. According to the 18th-century Georgian geographer Vakhushti Batonishvili, Ezati historically belonged to the Kavtiskhevi territorial unit.
