Didi Flevi is one of the distinguished historical villages in the Shida Kartli region, Khashuri municipality. It is located at an elevation of 810 meters above sea level, on the Doghlauri plain. The village represents the center of the Plevi administrative unit and is built on the left side of the Cheratkhevi River, giving it a special natural charm.

History and Cultural Heritage

Didi Flevi is rich in historical monuments that speak of the village's centuries-old past. Here is the 8th-9th century Church of the Virgin, which is an important example of early medieval architecture. Also, the village preserves the St. George Church built at the end of the 19th century and another temple named after St. George from the developed feudal era. These monuments add a special spirituality and charm to the village's cultural landscape.

Geography and Local Life

The village is built in the beautiful foothills, where the nature and fresh air characteristic of Shida Kartli create a harmonious environment. Didi Flevi is 21 kilometers from Khashuri, making it sufficiently isolated and cozy. Approximately 390 people live in the village, faithfully maintaining Georgian traditions and hospitality. The main activities of the locals are livestock farming and agriculture.
