It is located at an elevation of 800 meters above sea level, on the eastern slope of the Likhi Range. The village belongs to the Surami administrative unit and is distinguished by its rich past and beautiful natural environment.

History and Cultural Heritage

The village of Bekami is mentioned in the sources of Vakhushti Bagrationi as early as the 18th century. The village is rich in historical monuments: to the north-east stands the St. George ("Kvarti") hall church, and to the south-east, in the cemetery, the Savaneti St. George hall church (18th century). These monuments add a special charm to the village's cultural landscape.

Geography and Local Life

Didi Bekami is built on mountainous terrain, where the green nature and fresh air characteristic of the Likhi Range create a harmonious environment. The village is 6 kilometers from Khashuri, making it well-connected to the municipal infrastructure. Approximately 180 people live in the village, faithfully maintaining Georgian traditions and hospitality.
