Dablagomi is a village in the Imereti region, Samtredia municipality. It is the center of the Gomi community and is located at an elevation of 40 meters above sea level, on the Imereti plain. The village holds special historical and archaeological significance as its territory has been inhabited since ancient times.

Ancient Past and Archaeology

Dablagomi was one of the most important urban-type settlements of the ancient Kingdom of Colchis. Settlements from the Early Bronze Age and an ancient cemetery have been identified here, proving that this place was a regional trade and workshop center for centuries. Ruins of an old fortress are preserved in the village, silent witnesses to its past glory. Artifacts found during archaeological excavations indicate the high development of Colchian culture.

Nature and Imeretian Way of Life

Dablagomi is built on a fertile plain, where the climate and soil create ideal conditions for agriculture. The village is 14 kilometers from Samtredia and is located on the Baghdati-Dafnari highway. Life here is closely linked to the land and traditional farming. Approximately 900 people live in the village, faithfully maintaining Imeretian hospitality and traditions.
