Chobani is a village located in the Mestia municipality of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. It belongs to the Tsvirmi community and is built at an elevation of 1860 meters above sea level. The village's location surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Caucasus gives it a special charm and mysticism.

Geography and Alpine Nature

Chobani is characterized by a typical Svan landscape — alpine meadows, steep mountain slopes, and fresh air. The nature here is beautiful in its own way at any time of year. Approximately 60 people live in the village, faithfully maintaining traditional Svan life, language, and hospitality. Chobani is a place where you can feel the atmosphere of a real mountain village — quiet, authentic, and harmonious with nature. The local population is mainly engaged in livestock farming, which is closely linked to the local alpine pastures.
