Geography and Location
The village is located in the Arkhoti Valley, on the left bank of the Chimghistskali River. Its location on the northern slopes of the main Caucasus Range gives it a picturesque but harsh appearance. Chimgha is surrounded by giant rocky peaks and alpine meadows, where the air is always transparent.
Historical Context
Chimgha was historically one of the important points in the Arkhoti Valley. The fortress-houses and towers here protected the valley from enemy invasions for centuries.
