Built at an elevation of 460 meters above sea level, in the Supsa River valley, this settlement is one of the peaceful and traditional villages of the region. The village is located 22 kilometers away from Chokhatauri. The local landscape is rich in deciduous forests and riverside floodplains. History and Local Lifestyle
Chakitauri was historically more densely populated. During the Soviet period, tea growing and animal husbandry were actively developed here, forming the basis of the village economy. Today, about 80 people live in the village. The majority of the population are ethnic Georgians. Their daily life is closely tied to farming. The village maintains the hospitality and humor characteristic of Guria.
