Built at an elevation of 850 meters above sea level, on the right bank of the Tedzami River, this settlement is one of the region's most important historical centers. Cultural Heritage

Chachubeti and its surroundings are a true open-air museum. A medieval church is preserved in the village, but its main attraction is the neighboring complexes. Located near the village is the Rkoni monastery complex, one of the brilliant examples of Georgian architecture. Also, here you will find the Ikvi church, famous for its unique frescoes and architecture. These monuments testify to the great spiritual and cultural significance of this place over the centuries.

Geography and Nature

The village is located 29 kilometers away from Kaspi. The local landscape is rich in mixed forests and rocky valleys. The Tedzami River, a right tributary of the Mtkvari, gives the valley a special beauty. The climate is moderately humid. The surroundings of Chachubeti create the best conditions for hiking, pilgrimage, and those seeking complete harmony with nature and history.

Local Lifestyle

Today, only about 15 people live in Chachubeti. The village is almost deserted, which gives it even more mystery. Despite the small population, the place maintains the tranquility characteristic of Kartli. A visit to Chachubeti allows you to disconnect from the modern world, travel to the past, and relax in complete silence, where only the breath of history and the sound of nature can be heard.
