Atabe is a remote, high-mountain settlement located within the Dusheti Municipality of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. Positioned at an elevation of approximately 1,700 meters above sea level, the village serves as an example of the isolated agricultural settlements found in the rugged highlands of eastern Georgia. Access to Atabe is strictly restricted by topography. The village is connected to the wider regional network primarily through mountain trails and low-grade roads that are prone to closure during the winter months due to snowfall.
