Mestia-Ushguli Road: Vehicle Restrictions Due to Snow

Movement of certain types of vehicles restricted on Mestia-Ushguli section

Due to snow and black ice, traffic is restricted on the km138-km185 (Mestia-Ushguli) section of the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili national road. The movement of trailer, semi-trailer vehicles, and M3 category passenger vehicles (more than 8 seats excluding driver, gross weight over 5 tons) is prohibited. On the km150-km185 (Ulahi-Ushguli) section of the same road, light vehicle traffic is allowed only with anti-skid chains. High-passability vehicles (with two or more drive axles) can move freely. Traffic on the km1-km138 (Zugdidi-Mestia) section of the road is free.
