Tsablnari Waterfall is formed by mountain streams descending through a dense forest canopy. The environment is characterized by moss-covered stones and massive chestnut and beech trees, from which the location derives its name (Tsablnari translates from Georgian as 'chestnut grove'). The water flow is relatively constant throughout the year, though visiting after a rainy period reveals a much more powerful and dramatic sight. The height of the fall is modest, creating a pool at the base where the water remains bracingly cool even during the peak of summer.
