Telaviskhevi River
The Telaviskhevi is a small river or stream that flows directly through Telavi, the principal city of the Kakheti region in eastern Georgia. Originating from the nearby Gombori Range, it descends through the city before eventually joining the larger Alazani River system. While not a major geographical feature in terms of size, the Telaviskhevi is an integral part of Telavi's urban landscape. Its gorge provides a natural division within the city and offers some green, shaded areas. Historically, such urban streams were vital for local water supply and small-scale milling. Today, it adds a touch of nature to the historical city of Telavi, known for its winemaking heritage and ancient architecture.
