Lochini River
The Lochini River is a relatively small river located in eastern Georgia, flowing near the capital city of Tbilisi. It is a left tributary of the Mtkvari (Kura) River. The river passes through the eastern outskirts of Tbilisi, near the Tbilisi International Airport, which is sometimes referred to as Lochini Airport. While not a major tourist destination itself, the Lochini River plays a role in the local geography and drainage system of the area. The landscapes around the river are characterized by the dry, rolling hills typical of the region surrounding the capital.
