Kvabliani River
The Kvabliani River is a significant waterway in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of southern Georgia. It originates in the Arsiani Range and flows eastwards, eventually joining the Potskhovi River. The river valley is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, characterized by dense coniferous and mixed forests, and deep, picturesque gorges. The Kvabliani River is intimately connected with the region's rich history, most notably flowing near the magnificent Zarzma Monastery, a masterpiece of medieval Georgian architecture. The area offers excellent opportunities for hiking, exploring historical monuments, and enjoying the pristine, mountainous environment of the lesser Caucasus.
