Ilia Lake

The Ilia Lake complex, located near Kvareli in the Kakheti region, is an engineered reservoir that has become a major recreational hub in eastern Georgia. Named after the prominent Georgian writer and public figure Ilia Chavchavadze, the lake is situated in the scenic valley of the Duruji River, at the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains.
