Geography and Location

The village of Gamarjveba is situated in the Kvemo Kartli region, within the Gardabani Municipality. It lies on the Samgori Plateau, on the left bank of the Lochini River. Located at an elevation of 464 meters above sea level, Gamarjveba enjoys a highly strategic position, being just 7 kilometers away from the capital city, Tbilisi. This proximity makes it one of the most accessible and important settlements in the metropolitan area. The Iori River also flows nearby, playing a crucial role in the region's irrigation and agricultural landscape. History and Resettlement

Gamarjveba is a relatively young village, established in the mid-20th century, specifically during the 1950s. In 1953, a large collective farm was established, which led to further waves of resettlement from Racha (via the Klukhori district) and the Samtskhe-Javakheti region.
