Chvana is a village in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Shuakhevi municipality. It is the center of the Chvana community and is located at an elevation of 650 meters above sea level, on the right bank of the Chvanistskali River. The village is distinguished by its rich nature, unique valley, and authentic Adjarian way of life.

Geography and the Chvana Valley

Chvana is built in a beautiful valley, presenting the diverse nature characteristic of Adjara. The air here is fresh and healthy. The village is 12 kilometers from the town of Shuakhevi, making it well-connected to the municipal center. The Chvana valley is known for its picturesque landscapes, waterfalls, and green forests, making it attractive for tourism.

Approximately 330 people live in the village, faithfully maintaining Adjarian traditions and hospitality. Chvana is a place where you can feel the atmosphere of real mountainous Adjara — quiet, hardworking, and friendly. Life here is closely linked to the land and traditional farming. The Chvana community includes 11 villages, making it an important administrative and cultural center in the region.
