It is built at an elevation of 1750 meters above sea level, making it one of the highland settlements in the region. The village is situated on the southern slope of the Trialeti Range, where nature is presented in its primeval majesty.

Geography and Climate

The location of Choliani determines its harsh but breathtaking climate. The winters here are long and snowy, while the summers are cool and pleasant. The village is 21 kilometers from Tsalka. The highland plateaus and alpine meadows surrounding the village create ideal conditions for livestock farming, which was historically the main occupation of the local population.

Today, only a few dozen people live in the village. Choliani is distinguished by its cozy and secluded environment. Life here is closely linked to the mountains and harsh natural conditions, which is reflected in the character of the population. The village belongs to the Arjevan-Sarvani community and represents one of the authentic highland settlements in the region.
