Chalaubani — Kakhetian History on the Slopes of Gombori

Built at an elevation of 740 meters above sea level, on the southwestern slope of the Gombori Range, this settlement is one of the region's important and historical villages. Chalaubani is an ancient settlement. Late Bronze Age hill settlements and ancient settlements have been discovered on the village territory, testifying to the continuous settlement of this place for millennia. The village is first mentioned in historical documents in 1455 as "Chalamoti." This rich past gives the village a special cultural value.

Geography and Winemaking

The village is located 15 kilometers away from Gurjaani. The local landscape is rich in vineyards and orchards. The climate is moderately warm, creating the best conditions for viticulture. Kakheti is famous for its unique wines, and Chalaubani is a worthy part of this tradition. The surroundings of Chalaubani create the best conditions for walking and agritourism. From here, beautiful views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus ranges open up.
