Chacharaki is an ancient settlement. A medieval hall-type church and ruins are preserved in the village, testifying to the cultural significance of this place over the centuries. Interestingly, during the period of Ottoman rule, the village was mentioned as "Chechereki" and represented one of the administrative units of the Akhaltsikhe Sanjak. These historical layers give the village a special mystery.

Geography and Nature

The village is located only 5 kilometers away from Akhaltsikhe. The local landscape is rich in riverside floodplains and the dry, rocky mountains characteristic of Meskheti. The climate is moderately warm. The surroundings of Chacharaki create the best conditions for walking and historical tourism. From here, beautiful views of the Mtkvari Valley and the surroundings of Akhaltsikhe open up.
