In the Kakheti region, within the Akhmeta Municipality, lies the village of Chabinaani. Built at an elevation of 520 meters above sea level, this settlement is one of the peaceful and traditional villages of the region. Chabinaani charms visitors with its vineyards, clean air, and the unhurried rhythm characteristic of Kakhetian villages.

Geography and Nature

The village is located on the left side of the Khodashniskhevi River, 14 kilometers away from Akhmeta. The local landscape is rich in vineyards and orchards. The climate is moderately warm, creating the best conditions for viticulture. The surroundings of Chabinaani are great for hiking and relaxation in nature. From here, beautiful views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus ranges open up.

History and Local Lifestyle

Chabinaani was historically densely populated. Interestingly, at the beginning of the 20th century, a significant part of the village population were families who had migrated from the Racha highlands, leaving their mark on the local lifestyle. Today, about 140 people live in the village. The daily life of the population is closely tied to farming, especially viticulture. The village maintains the hospitality and traditions characteristic of Kakheti. A visit to Chabinaani allows you to get acquainted with the authentic life of a Kakhetian village, taste local products, and relax far from urban noise.
