In the Kvemo Kartli region, within the Gardabani Municipality, lies the village of Akhalsopeli. Built at an elevation of 820 meters above sea level on the Samgori Valley, this settlement is one of the interesting and traditional villages of the region. History and Origins

The village of Akhalsopeli appeared in the first half of the 19th century. Its foundation is connected with 14 families who moved from Martkopi in 1831. Among them were representatives of the Gugunashvili, Kakhabrishvili, Bidzinashvili, and Kobiashvili families, who chose a place called Kldistskaro for settlement. The settlement process was completed at the end of the 19th century, giving the village its current appearance.

Geography and Nature

The village is located on the banks of the Satskhenisistskali River. The climate here is moderately warm, characteristic of the Kvemo Kartli plains. The surroundings of Akhalsopeli are rich in agricultural lands, which form the main basis of village life.
