Built at an elevation of 760 meters above sea level, this settlement is 28 kilometers from Tetritskaro. Historical Significance
The name Marabda is associated with one of the most tragic and heroic events in Georgian history—the Battle of Marabda in 1625. The area surrounding the village is the historic Marabda field, where the Georgian army confronted Shah Abbas's numerous army. When visiting here, you can see the memorial to the heroes who died in the Battle of Marabda, which is a symbol of Georgia's dedication.
