In the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, within the Keda Municipality, the village of Abuketa is located on the left side of the Acharistsqali River. Situated at an elevation of approximately 344-400 meters above sea level, this settlement offers visitors the beautiful, greenery-immersed landscapes characteristic of Adjara. Historical Notes

Abuketa has been mentioned in historical sources since the Ottoman period. It is referenced in the "Short Register of Adjara," which notes that the village was part of the Lower Adjara Nahiye of the Upper Adjara Liva. Later, according to the 1886 census, 25 households (110 residents) lived in Abuketa. These historical details highlight the continuous vitality of the village and its importance in the region's past.
